AT&T Whistleblower: How I Learned of Internet Spy Room

Threat Level

Mark Klein, the former AT&T technician who provided much of the ammunition behind a high profile anti-spying lawsuit filed against his former employer, has largely stayed out of the spotlight since handing internal AT&T documents to civil liberties groups and media outlets early last year. Those documents, which outline a secret room in an AT&T internet switching center in San Francisco, are now under seal in the case, though Wired News independently acquired the documents and published them last May.

Klein sat down with Wired News a few weeks ago and talked a little bit more about what he learned and how he learned it. The interview is here.
